My name is Dana K. Dwyer I was born and lived my entire live in America. In 2012 I moved to Johannesburg, South Africa. 
This blog began as letters home to friends. I have hesitations about publishing to a wider audience because, as an American who has always lived in America, I am sure I am unaware of my many prejudices, blind spots and arrogant opinions. I fear they will all be revealed in these posts.
My American friends and readers may understand, if you are from another country, particularly if you are from Africa, please forgive me. I am trying to learn.
